Hi, I’m Tara! I’m a mom of three, speech therapist, qualified orofacial myologist, and owner of Connections Speech and Language Center in Lansing, Michigan.

My journey into this field has been deeply personal. My oldest son was diagnosed with a rare chromosomal deletion as an infant, and I quickly learned how discouraging it can feel when the world focuses on what a child “won’t” do. Today, my son has surpassed expectations— but I’ve been where you are, on the other side of the therapy table, juggling appointments and hoping for progress one small step at a time.

Building this practice— along with my wonderful practice manager and team of exceptional speech and occupational therapists— has been a labor of love, rooted in the belief that families deserve compassionate, collaborative care. My team and I know that therapy is not just about fixing problems; it’s about building confidence, celebrating strengths, and walking alongside clients who want the best for themselves and their loved ones.
